Over the years, Apple has changed considerably the dimensions of its devices. Some product upgrades leave the form factor the same, as in the current iPhone 6s and its predecssor, iPhone 6. The latest notebooks by comparison, have seen reductions in size. A cover designed to fit a standard 13 inch laptop will probably be too big for the latest MacBook Pro Retina 13 inch or MacBook 12 inch. A sleeve that fits a second generation iPad 4 will be too big for Apple's current form factor, the iPad Air. Apple's newest tablet device, the iPad Pro, introduces a new size altogether.
